This study analyzes the perception of users and service
providers on the quality of drinking water services in the outlying localities
of the commune of Parakou. It shows that, 5% of users surveyed are very
satisfied with the water service, 76% are satisfied and 19% are not satisfied.
However, users deplore the frequency and duration of breakdowns in
some boreholes. Furthermore, users’ perception is influenced by the
quality, accessibility to drinking water, frequency and duration of
breakdowns.
