Introduction : To improve the quality of training of Nurses and Midwives, front-line agents of any health system, the National Medical-Health Institute (INMeS) of the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) carried out the accreditation by CAMES of its Training Offers (OF) of License in Nursing Sciences and Obstetric Sciences (SIO). Objective : Describe the OF accreditation process by highlighting the process followed and the lessons learned. Method : After creation of an Internal Quality Assurance Unit, the OFs were updated according to the directives of the coding guide for the Teaching Unit and the Constitutive Element, February 2016 version of the REESAO. Their self-assessment was carried out from July to December 2018 using the CAMES Quality Reference for the evaluation of the OF of higher education and research establishments, revised version of March 2018, domain A comprising five fields, 17 references, 82 criteria and 99 proofs to provide, followed by external evaluation by CAMES experts. Results : the OFs were validated by the Technical Committee for Validation of OFs of the UAC (rectoral decisions No. 062 and No. 063-18/UAC/SG/VR-AA/SE-CTVOF/SEOU). Seventy-seven pieces of evidence required by CAMES were available. Main actions were carried out (creation of a Student Reception and Support Unit and an INMeS Internal and External Communication Unit ; design of OF evaluation policy documents, lessons learned by the students and learning in SIO ; the student welcome booklet and communication materials on the objectives of the internships) in order to make the 22 missing proofs available. Finally, the OFs were accredited by CAMES (Order No. 00124/2020/CAMES/SG/SS). Conclusion : Accreditation made it possible to take a critical look at the teaching practices and the management system of the INMeS training system. Its success requires institutional will, the involvement of stakeholders and the support of technical and financial partners.
